What Happens During an Arborist Visit

An arborist visit is a close inspection, not a quick glance from the driveway. Here is what to expect:

  1. Your concerns first. We start with what you have noticed: a lean, falling limbs, thin leaves, or a project you are planning nearby.
  2. A ground-to-crown look. The arborist checks the root zone and soil, the root flare at the base, the trunk for cracks, cavities, and fungus, and the canopy for deadwood and weak branch unions.

What does 'ISA-Certified Arborist' mean?

ISA stands for the International Society of Arboriculture. Certification means the arborist has passed formal training and testing in tree care, biology, diagnosis, and safe work practices, and keeps that credential current. It is a recognized standard of professional competence in the industry.

Do I need an arborist or can I just get a tree removed?

If you already know a tree must come down, we can move straight to a removal estimate. But if you are unsure whether a tree is dying, hazardous, or salvageable, an arborist assessment is worth it, because it often reveals that pruning or a care plan will solve the problem without removing the tree.
